Developed by Panache Digital Games and\npublished by Private Division, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will be the\nfirst game from Assassin\u2019s Creed creator Patrice D\u00e9silets since Assassin\u2019s Creed: Brotherhood<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially announced at Develop Reboot in\nDubrovnik in 2015, the game has seen several changes. Originally an episodic\ntitle, the game will now be a single release after support from the newly\nfounded publishing team at Private Division. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey\nis set for an August 27th 2019 release on PC, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4\nreleases coming later in the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third\nperson survival game set in a tumultuous period of time over ten million years\nago. Taking control of a proto-ape, it\u2019s up to the player to Explore the world,\nExpand the ape clan\u2019s influence, and Evolve over time into the homo-sapiens we\nknow and love today. It is these three Es that set out the players\u2019 path\nthrough Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Set in prehistoric Africa, the player will\nexplore the land for opportunities, threats, and to fuel survival itself. A\nbeautiful world awaits, but one that\u2019s beset by dangers. You don\u2019t have to go\nalone though, your clan is key to survival. Expand their influence and their\nterritory by controlling different apes and forming bonds. Make your own little\nempire of the past, right there at the dawn of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game itself is set over a period of eight million years, seeing your apes evolve from proto-hominids to something more recognisable as human. Decisions you make whilst playing will determine the path of that evolution, and the traits your descendants will carry with them.
